He has a very long tenure of practicing psychiatry since his housejob in 1976 from SMS Medical College Jaipur under the guidance of legendary (Late) Professor BK Vyas. In between the period of her graduation and postgraduation, Dr. Shashi had also worked at Georgetown Hospital Guyana (South America) and later for a few months at Trinity College Ireland.

Dr. Nishant has always been amongst the top five students during his medical carrier. He did all his medical degrees from AIIMS New Delhi. He had stood 2nd All India Ranking for admission to AIIMS New Delhi in MBBS. He has several medals, distinction and honours to his credit.
But what distinguishes him from others is his devotion and dedication to his field after passing out from AIIMS New Delhi in December 2019. In the span of these six years, he has achieved the distinction of becoming Professor in his field, he started single handedly the unit of Urology at ESIC Medical College Faridabad. And starting from the scratch, he has developed his unit to the extent that now facilities of Robotic surgery and even Renal Transplant are also available in this Unit. From this year, the National Medical Commission has given this unit to start the PG Superspecialisation course in M.Ch Urology. The number of Laser surgery of stones done by Dr. Nishant must be in hundreds and a few Renal Transplant cases have also been done in the unit by the team of doctors led by Dr. Nishant.
